The International Women's Group (IWG) in Kuwait and the Embassy of Jordan held a Jordanian Cultural Day on Sunday, Nov 6, 2022 at Crowne Plaza Hotel under the title "Kingdom of Civilizations", in the presence of a number of distinguished guests. Ghada Shawky, President of International Women's Group and wife of the Egyptian ambassador, began her speech by welcoming the guests to this special event, referring to Jordan as one of the most wonderful countries in the Middle East - famous for its archaeological sites, home to some of the world's oldest cities and natural wonders, from the baptismal site (Al Maghtas), the iconic mountain city of Petra and the ancient Roman ruins of Jerash, to the UNESCO-listed Wadi Rum natural area known as the Valley of the Moon.

The country's stunning nature with its geographical diversity is world famous, with mountains, deserts and the Dead Sea as one of the most wonderful natural and spiritual landscapes in Jordan, being the lowest point on earth and famous for its very important mineral products, also known for its black mud to treat the skin. Jordan's remarkable art, handicrafts, rich culture and delicious cuisine add to the many reasons it is a favorite tourist attraction. In conclusion, Shawky pointed out that Jordanians are a people characterized by kindness and hospitality, and honor family values.
