KUWAIT: Some people in northern Kuwait felt an earthquake that struck an area near the Iran-Iraq borders yesterday, Director of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research's National Seismological Network said. Dr Abdullah Al-Enezi said people in northern Kuwait felt the tremor at 5:15 pm. No one was hurt and no material damage was reported. The earthquake hit Gilan Gharb in Kermanshah province in western Iran, injuring about 31 people, most of them lightly, Iranian state news agency IRNA reported.
