Iranian Ambassador Dr Ali Reza Enayati

In a statement issued by the Iranian Embassy in Kuwait on the occasion of commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Iranian Ambassador Dr Ali Reza Enayati said this occasion coincides with the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and thus both Muslims and Christians are simultaneously celebrating two blessed holy occasions.

Enayati added that both religions' followers can share the joy in streets, houses, mosques and churches this year as both heavenly religions highly cherish values revealed by Almighty Allah to protect mankind from ignorance and dismay. "This synchronization shows that we, nowadays, need more consolidation, cooperation and fraternal unity to confront the challenges facing human, Islamic and religious values as well as spread the culture of tolerance and interfaith and intercultural dialogue," said Enayati.
