KUWAIT: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, sponsored the 8th ‘Flare Festival’. The 3 days event, which took place from November 9th till November 11th at the Marina Crescent, strongly aligns with stc’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework. The strategic alliance with Flare Fitness under the Weyak umbrella that focuses on supporting Kuwaiti SMEs and start-ups as well as young entrepreneurs, now in its fourth year, reflects stc’s dedication to nurturing the fitness community in Kuwait.

Flare Festival, considered one of the largest events of its kind in Kuwait, witnessed an impressive turnout, where a significant number of spectators came to see athletes compete for different championship titles. The festival saw participation from 3,000 competitors across all tournament events, with a total of over 20,000 attendees over the course of three days.

In recognition of its continuous support and primary sponsorship, stc, represented by Danah Al Jasem, General Manager of Corporate Communications and Ahmed Al Nowaibet, Public Relations and Social Media Manager at stc, was honored during the closing ceremony in the esteemed presence of Sheikh Fahad Naser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the president of the Kuwait Olympic Committee. The Company expressed gratitude towards all the individuals and teams whose contributions were integral to the festival’s success.

The festival provided athletes with a prestigious platform to compete in their chosen sports, with tournaments including The Heat, The Hindrance Race, The Student Competition, The Barbell, The Gravity, The Padel, The Sea-Master, and the Knockout. It also welcomed athletes and guests from the region, fostering a sense of community and sportsmanship.

Additionally, stc in collaboration with Gamestore, hosted a FC24 PS5 tournament on November 10th with the participation of 64 teams where the 1st and 2nd place winners received special prizes from stc, while attendees were presented with gifts from stc. In line with previous years, stc also encouraged its employees to participate in the event as part of its ongoing commitment to promote a culture of health and teamwork.
