KUWAIT: A delegation from the International Women's Group (IWG), headed by Ghada Shawky, President of IWG and the wife of the Ambassador of Egypt, paid a field visit to Kuwait Airways on Nov 20, 2022. Members were received by the staff of the department of institutional communication and public relations. An organized tour was arranged of the engineering department, where the IWG members were received by Abdullah Al-Habib.

An overview of the history of Kuwait Airways from its inception in 1954 to the present day was presented, part of which mentioned the continuous and effective role of the engineering department since the arrival of aircraft from the factory until entering service and providing continuous maintenance. Habib also explained the periodical maintenance by the engineering department of the entire fleet, which currently includes 33 aircraft, and its concern for the general safety of its customers.

A detailed explanation was also given about the types of aircrafts used by Kuwait Airways since 1954 until now, mentioning modern aircraft, their types and advantages. The delegation visited the A320neo, A330neo and Boeing B777 aircraft. During a tour of the aircraft, the members were then briefed about the aircrafts' seats and services provided on board.

At the end of the tour, Habib answered all inquiries and questions by the members of the International Women's Group. Shawky then presented on behalf of the group an honorary shield to express gratitude to Kuwait Airways and presented certificates of appreciation to Habib and the staff of the Department of institutional communication and public relations.
