The Ministry of Public Work's Undersecretary Awatif Al-Ghunaim said that 100 percent of the construction work at Jaber Hospital has been completed and a date will be set later on to hand it over to the Ministry of Health. Ghunaim explained that the hospital will provide 1,168 beds, 19 OPDs, five nine-storey towers and a doctors' accommodation building. Arab Open University Rector Dr Moudhi Al-Humoud said during an inspection tour that the hospital will be a significant medical edifice in Kuwait and stressed that the project is a pride for every Kuwaiti.

Smartphones

Kuwait Society of Engineers urged the Civil Service Commission to meet the demands made by the Ministry of Electricity and Water and other state departments to activate the fingerprint system for checking in and out of work on smartphones of employees, namely those working on construction sites. The society's board member Ali Abbas Mohseni hailed the step made by Undersecretary Mohammed Bosherhi in this regard as the latter had announced intentions to contact the commission accordingly. Mohseni added that the society had previously called for flexibility and using modern technological solutions for the problem.
