KUWAIT: Al-Qadisiya Sports Club member of the board and head of Football Operations Saud Buhamad had to answer criticisms he received following statements in regards to the Brazilian professional player Lima, saying his statement was out of his keenness on the club's interest, not to criticize the player or who brought him.

Saud Buhamad had earlier said he is not convinced with Lima's abilities and that he is not up to Al-Qadisiya's ambitions, then when Al-Qadisiya played against Kazima, Lima scored a goal in his first match of the season.

He said that he wishes all Qadisiya players including Lima all the best, adding that he is not against any player who works towards getting the sought after results.

Buhamad said the matches schedule was not in favor of Qadisiya as the first and second round were against Arabi and Kazima, and later meet Kuwait in the third. He concluded his statement by saying the current season is the most difficult for all teams.

Meanwhile Qadisiya was able to defeat Kazima 2-0, when Brazilian Tiago opened the score in the 25th minute with a header, then Lima who entered in the last half hour of the match was able to threaten Kazima's goal several times before scoring the insurance goal in the 88th minute from 18 yards out.

In the second match Jahra Sports Club remained on top of the table as it won its second match against Arabi 2-1, raising its point total to six, as Al-Arabi remained with one point.

Jahra scored early with a penalty spot by Obeid Rafe in the 12th minute. Arabi then took the initiative but most of the passes were affected by the ground's bad condition, then Hamad Al-Enezi wasted a scoring opportunity.

The second half saw Arabi coach Mohammad Ibrahim (nicknamed the general) substituting Abdelmohsen Al-Turkmani with Abdelaziz Al-Sulaimi, yet Tores was able to score the second goal for Jahra from a counter attack in the 55th minute.

Al-Arabi was able to score a goal from the penalty spot in the 89 minute by its player Keta and the match ended 2-1 in favor of Jahra.

Defending champion Kuwait Sports Club defeated Nasr Sport Club by the score of 4-1, raising its points tally to four, while Nasr is still without any point.

The first half ended with Kuwait on top 2-1 as Talal Jaze opened the score in the 14th minute after a deflection from Nasr defence player, then Louis Carlos scored in the 33 minute, a third goal was scored by Fabiano in the dying minutes of the first half from the penalty spot. Jumaa Saeed scored the fourth goal in the 37th minute of the second half.

In another match, Salmiya S.C Coach Abdelaziz Hamada lauded the win his team had against Tadhamon, under very difficult circumstances, as two players from Salmiya were kicked out: Goal keeper Khalid Al-Rasheedi and defender Fawaz Ayedh. He said that he was forced to take forward player Fahad Al-Rashidi to get goalkeeper Sattam Al-Husseini in, adding that players experience was behind the very difficult win.
