Treatment abroad

In other news, Kuwait Medical Association rejected the interference of some MPs in the committees deciding treatments abroad, adding that one of the most important reasons for "medical tourism" is political pressure and interference by some MPs. This comes on the heels of statements by an MP against the head of the brain and neurosurgery committee chairman at Ibn Sina Hospital. Head of the society Dr Ahmad Al-Thuwaini strongly rejected interference of some MPs in specialized medical committees and its decisions. He said this matter is technical and it's up to doctors to decide whether the patient travels abroad or not.
