KUWAIT: Statistics by the justice ministry about crimes committed by juveniles during the first quarter of 2016 showed that crimes had increased by 156 percent compared to those committed during the same period of the previous year. Accordingly, well-informed sources warned of the growing danger of youth violence and fights that were mainly started by very trivial causes such as the famous provocative question of "What are you staring at?" or "Why are you staring?", which often leads to bloody or fatal fights.

The sources urged various concerned government bodies to cooperate to fight youth violence and urged schools and families to activate their roles in enhancing compassion and accepting others amongst the youth. Statistically, the sources explained that the total number of juvenile misdemeanors in the first quarter of 2016 was 776 compared to only 303 in 2015. - Al-Qabas
