KUWAIT: Chairman of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed Al-Sager met UN Senior Stakeholders Advisor and Country Manager of the Global Compact (UNGC) in Qatar and Kuwait Rabaa Al-Jumaa on Sunday with the attendance of General Manager of the Chamber Rabah Al-Rabah.

The meeting came within the framework of joining the UN Global Compact, which is considered the biggest initiative in sustainability in the hope to achieve its 17 goals, in which 17,000 members from 4,000 nonprofit organizations from 177 countries have participated. It aims to call companies and institutes to work within the strategy with the biggest global challenges, which consists of 10 global principles in four different fields - human rights, labor, environment and combating corruption.

Sager assured the support of the chamber on the 10 principles and to take responsible action to achieve its goals. The UN Global Compact will provide the necessary tools, including solutions and a center for UN work online, as well as all materials needed to assist participants in taking all necessary procedures to achieve sustainable development.
