KD 176m health insurance paid in 2 years

KUWAIT: Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah said KD 176,644,485 was collected in expat health insurance fees during the fiscal years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. He said lists and statistics received by the ministry are crosschecked with what is being deposited in the ministry's Central Bank account by the contracting company with regards to this contract. He said the total annual support to the company to collect expats' health insurance fees is KD 25,000 to finance health enhancement and health awareness programs presented by the ministry. - Al-Rai
