KUWAIT: Chairwoman of Kuwait Environment Protection Society Dr Wejdan Al-Oqab said the participation in the Arab Development Challenges contest, organized by the Environment Center for Arab Cities, Arab Network for Environment and development and the Climate Action Network Arab World on the occasion of the Arab Environment Day, is a moral commitment and contribution to improve the Arab environment in addition to the solutions, dealings, alternatives and successful practices to deal with the developmental challenges with its environmental overlaps in the Arab cities.

Dr Al-Oqab said the society's participation was through the documentary series to document the natural life in Kuwait which went on for eight seasons that included 210 TV episodes. She said the video show presented the principles of environmental monitoring, the main goals of the series and their measure about the beauty of the environment, as well as land and coastal environments with their natural wealth in Kuwait.

She said, on the occasion of the Arab environmental day, the society has some contributions in this regard being the founder and head of the gulf network of private environmental environment societies and being the Assistant General Coordinator for the gulf's countries in the Arab network for environment and development.
