KUWAIT: Chairman of Kuwait Football Association (KFA) Abdullah Al-Shaheen hoped the new marks the true return of Kuwait football, and that the participation of Kuwait is successful in the Khaleeji Zain 25 Gulf Cup and achieve ambitions and hopes. "We welcomed the new year as our national team is participating in the Gulf Cup with a new look. We hope to receive full support during the championship, so that the participation achieves its goals, and be ready for future events," Shaheen said in a press statement.

"We launched KFA's 2030 vision for football with regards to improving football, and we declared the KFA strategy and presented its goals. The board of directors faced difficulties and challenges, and we are continuing towards achieving our dreams and ambitions to activate and implement this vision," he added.

"We were able to overcome many accumulated obstacles. We are still in the beginning and there still remains a lot in the march of developing football, but with our continuing work and cooperation, everything will become easy and we can achieve all that is better for improving Kuwait football and please our fans," Shaheen said.
