KUWAIT: Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) organized on Tuesday at its headquarters an educational meeting to honor students who are expected to participate in "Be an honor student" journey in cooperation with the education ministry.

Head of the media department at the Fund, Muna Al-Ayyaf said: "the Fund has organized two trips this year from January 21 to 28, for male students to visit Rwanda and the second for female students to visit Tajikistan."

"About 264 students participated in the trips until now in which they visited more than 15 countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Senegal, and others," she clarified.

"This initiative comes as part of the Fund's desire to enhance its social responsibility by contributing to many local social and economic activities to support development efforts in Kuwait without a prejudice to the Fund's mission," she added.

It is noteworthy that the Fund launched this initiative in 2010 to motivate high school students to succeed and excel. The Fund, in cooperation with the education ministry, selects a group of outstanding students and organizes annual cultural trips for them to visit the countries that the Fund cooperates with so that they can benefit from its projects.

The initiative also aims to introduce new generations to the size and status of Kuwait in the eyes of brotherly and friendly countries, and to reward them for their distinction and competence.
