KUWAIT: As part of its leading and distinguished role in society and continuous participation in health initiatives, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) concluded its annual integrated breast cancer awareness campaign titled "Be Aware", which coincided with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Senior Public Relations and Event Management Coordinator at KFH- Maryam Abaalkhail said: "The campaign comprised many social and sporting events for women to increase awareness level regarding breast cancer and encourage them to conduct early examination, in addition to explaining its early symptoms and the methods of prevention against this disease."

She added that KFH organized several activities and events during the month of October including Padel championships for its female employees and another one for female customers. The championships witnessed a large turnout and winners were awarded valuable prizes. Abaalkhail pointed out that KFH was present at the College of Business Administration at Kuwait University for a whole week to offer full services which included awareness messages to college students on breast cancer and the importance of early checkup to mitigate its risks.

She indicated that in line with its belief in effective public awareness, KFH was also present in the Avenues Mall for two days during the campaign to educate people on breast cancer in cooperation with Kuwait Red Crescent Society. In conclusion to its campaign, KFH organized a two-day course on (Candle-Making) for its female employees in collaboration with one of the leading global companies.

It is worth noting that KFH has a long record in supporting the health sector and considers it as one of the main priorities in its social responsibility strategy. In this respect, KFH has continuously fostered and supported events and initiatives in the health field, such as diabetes awareness events, organizing first aid courses, blood donation as well as holding several seminars and campaigns to spread awareness about prevention from various diseases.
