KUWAIT: KFH Chairman Hamad Al-Marzouq receives the book from Dr Abdulmohsen Al-Kharafi.

KUWAIT: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has issued the second edition of 'The Pioneers of the Islamic Economy' book following the great success of the first edition. In the preface of the book, KFH Chairman Hamad Abdulmohsen Al-Marzouq said that the idea of issuing the second edition of the book "The Pioneers of the Islamic Economy" stems from the bank's keenness to recognize the first pioneers who greatly influenced the banking business in KFH and launched a plethora of economic initiatives in Kuwait and abroad, thus deserved to be honored with the title of 'Pioneers.'

 

Marzouq added that the Sharia Committee at KFH is auditing all the banking transactions, pointing out that the success of KFH is the result of the joint effort of highly qualified experts who were devoted to give all they had for the best interest of the bank, while thoroughly complying with Sharia principles.

 

Meanwhile, in the preface of 'Pioneers of Islamic Economy' book, the author Dr Abdulmohsen Al-Kharafi said: "We have the will to continue the noble story of those who gave KFH every sincere and constructive effort in order to maintain the excellent success and progress process as the world leading Islamic financial institution.

 

The book tackles topics of the succession of generations in the service of the Islamic economy, the Islamic business model, the role of KFH in serving the community, and the personalities that contributed to the establishment of KFH and the expansion of its businesses.

 

It also explains the emergence of the idea of the Islamic economy, the stage of establishing Islamic banks, the difficulties faced by KFH, and the improvement of performance in numbers, profits and distributions.

 

The book contains an archive of the most important pictures, events and activities organized by KFH, as well as photographs of the founders of the bank and the Boards of Directors who led the development of the Islamic banking industry. The book is available free of charge to customers at all KFH branches.
