KUWAIT: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) participated as a platinum sponsor, in the activities of the 12th International Invention Fair of the Middle East, which was held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in the presence of Capital Governor Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, representing His Highness the Amir. The fair that had more than 100 inventions from 41 countries across the world, was launched in Al-Raya Ballroom, at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel and will continue until February 19.

During his speech at the opening ceremony in the presence of the representative of His Highness the Amir, and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Exhibition, Talal Al-Kharafi, ambassadors of the countries participating in the exhibition, along with a large number of investors, participants and sponsors, Executive Manager Group Public Relations and Media at KFH, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh said: "KFH is keen in participating in such scientific forums that contribute to raising the scientific level of youth. In addition to creating a motivating environment for exploring talents and capabilities that will support the level of development and progress in society."

Ruwaieh affirmed KFH's commitment to supporting the initiatives that constitute a platform for spreading a culture of innovation and creativity, and highlighting Kuwait's role in supporting inventors and talented people. Additionally, highlighting Kuwaiti inventions, noting that this comes within the framework of the bank's social responsibility and sustainable development strategy, in line with His Highness the Amir's New Kuwait Vision 2035 by investing in youth capabilities to achieve progress and competitiveness globally.

He pointed out that KFH continues to support scientific activities and initiatives, not to mention supporting the causes aimed to develop the capabilities of the society and highlight the efforts of young innovators in an invention fair that brings together broad participation from different countries of the world.

The exhibition is a platform through which allows investors, creators, interested parties, official and governmental bodies to create investment opportunities for the private sector to advance scientific research. He mentioned that the exhibition is considered the largest exhibition of inventions in the Middle East and the second largest exhibition of inventions in the world after the Geneva exhibition.

Ruwaieh said that KFH is the only bank that launched the platform 'you are our pride' to honor the owners of inventions and accomplishments in all its fields. He noted the leading role in supporting and honoring Kuwaiti creators that have winning inventions in major international exhibitions, regional and global competitions. In addition to allocating an award for creativity that contributes to encouraging and motivating the creators.

He pointed out that KFH is distinguished by a proven record in social responsibility, encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity among youth. In addition to sponsoring digital transformation initiatives and implementing technological applications to establish the bank's leadership in achieving sustainability strategy in various social aspects.

It is noteworthy mentioning that the International Invention Fair of the Middle East is the first of its kind that offers financial and promotional awards. Totaling more than 50 thousand dollars, to achieve more support and encouragement for inventors and strengthening and supporting cooperation between investors and creators.
