KUWAIT: A Kuwait Fire Service Directorate officer closes a restaurant in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.

KUWAIT: Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) closed 92 facilities administratively in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh after warning them over preventive violations. KFSD Director General Lt Gen Khalid Al-Mikrad issued the decision after the warning period elapsed.

Fire drill

KFSD carried out an exercise in cooperation with Bidaa fire station and Movenpick Hotel. Both sides succeeded in achieving the exercise goals, which focused on quick evacuation and control and preventing the fire from spreading.

Agreement signed

KFSD signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Najat Society (Islamic Presentation Society) on 14 items related to increasing societal knowledge and holding training workshops on security and safety principles and dealing with fires for various communities in Kuwait.

A joint committee will be formed to take executive decisions that do not clash with their interests in order to prevent fires by focusing on communities of various nationalities in their languages. KFSD was represented by Public Relations Director Brig Khalil Al-Amir, while Al-Najat Society was represented by Deputy Chairman of the Board Rasheed Al-Hamad.
