KUWAIT: Interior Ministry authorities are investigating a kidnapping and beating in which four people were involved. A citizen who works at the interior ministry went to Al-Waha police station with a medical report, alleging that his son, who is a student, had been kidnapped while waiting in front of his uncle's house. An Indian man who works as a driver for the neighbors pulled the boy into his sponsor's house, where the sponsor's brother, his son and nephew beat him causing the injuries mentioned in the medical report.

Probe into missing children

Authorities searched for two children who disappeared mysteriously, then later found them in a relative's diwaniya as they were playing video games and fell asleep there. The children's family had posted their pictures on social media when they discovered that they were missing.

No weapons charge

A corporal was spared a charge of possessing an AK-47, but was charged with assaulting an officer from the weapons detectives department who searched his house. Officers raided the corporal's house after a tip off that he owned an automatic rifle. Officers did not find any weapons, but the corporal assaulted one of the officers verbally and physically. Meanwhile, two citizens were arrested for being drunk and insulting a police officer. The two women were stopped by a patrol officer while they were driving out of a party where they reportedly have been drinking.
