Kuwait: Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) affirmed on Tuesday that the launching of the Al-Zour refinery's laboratories would boost the performance and competitiveness of the Kuwaiti oil sector.

In a press statement celebrating the opening of the laboratories, KIPIC affirmed that the facility, run by national cadres, was one of its kind in the Middle East region. KIPIC's CEO Waleed Al-Bader said that the opening of these laboratories was another milestone for the company, adding that it was part of its strategic plans for the oil sector.

Equiping the facility with the latest lab facility is an integral part of the company's operational vision concerning high quality and environment friendly oil, petrochemical products, and natural gas projects.

On his part, Deputy CEO Khaled Al-Awadhi revealed that the laboratories were a valuable addition to Al-Zour refinery, one of the largest refineries in the world. He indicated that the labs would be involved in the process and tools used in refining oil, noting that documents and certificates produced by the laboratories would be of high value.
