shootingKUWAIT: Kuwait shooters were outstanding once again and snatched one gold and 2 bronze medals during the seventh day of competition, while Korea was able to leap over China and India to take first place in the medals standing of the 13th Asian Shooting Championship, which comes to a close today at Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex.

World Juniors Champion, Kuwait’s Talal Al- Rashidi in 2011, defeated India’s Mana Singh Sandhu, who was world champion in 2006, 2010 and 2014 in a shoot off and took the trap’s bronze.

Meanwhile Talal Al-Rashidi dedicated his medals in the individual and team events to HH the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, HH The Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Kuwait shooting federation. He said the three medals are the result of collective work, adding that he is working hard in order to raise his level and always have Kuwait’s flag flying high.

Shooter Khalid Murad lauded the competition and said it makes them all gain experience and improve their skills. Lebanese player Edmond Jalakh said he was happy to win the gold medal for his country in the trap event, as this made him feel the tremendous responsibility. He added that he wish to participate by Kuwait in the future, as organization here is great and is no less than world or Olympic events.
