KUWAIT: Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced the departure of an aid airplane from the Abdullah Al-Mubarak air base in Kuwait, carrying 40 tons of food and medical materials, to the people of Sudan who are affected by the recent floods that has afflicted the country.

He also praised the role of Kuwait's foreign and defense ministries to facilitate this humanitarian initiative, calling on all active bodies in the civil society and private sector to offer immediate help to Sudan in helping those impacted by the floods. - KUNA
