BERLIN: Kuwait Ambassador in Germany Najeeb Al-Bader on Tuesday said that his country has always adopted a moderate and balanced foreign policy based on promoting international security and peace, citing its mediation in Gulf, regional and world domains. The ambassador made the remark in a lecture he gave during a conference held by the German Academy for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin.

He added that Kuwait attaches much significance to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as a strong and influential entity in face of numerous political and security challenges, recalling its role in the creation of the GCC and response to the bloc's crises.

On Palestine, the Kuwaiti ambassador emphasized that Middle East problems could be only resolved should a fair and just settlement to the Palestinian cause be reached. On Ukraine, he said that the State of Kuwait, from the very beginning, had rejected the Russian-Ukrainian war, reiterating its unwavering position that opposes any interference in countries' internal affairs. - KUNA
