KUWAIT: Kuwait has affirmed its commitment to pursue contributions to the UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, at various cultural levels. The State stand was demonstrated during the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development "Mondiacult 2022," held in Mexico City on September 28-30.

The Kuwaiti representative at the convention and the permanent delegate at the UNESCO, Dr Adam Abdullah Al-Mulla, affirmed its keenness on maintaining the contributions to the organization at diverse levels, a statement released by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Mexico said.

 

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Mexico Salah Al-Haddad said Kuwait's participation in the international cultural event was in line with its care for the sector and out of its belief in the necessity of culture for societies' evolvement. Such participation, he has added, mirrors its active role for promoting culture, dialogue, cultural diversity and heritage protection. The convention tackle issues such as protection of cultural diversity, heritage, culture's role in promoting development, backing economies, peace and dialogue. - KUNA
