Geneva: The newly appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Swiss Federation Yagoub Al-Sanad stressed Wednesday the deep, rooted and developed Kuwaiti-Swiss relations in all fields.

This came in a statement to KUNA, after Ambassador Al-Sanad handed over his credentials to President and Foreign Minister of the Swiss Confideration Ignazio Cassis in the capital Bern.

Al-Sanad stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, which serves mutual interests and achieves the prosperity of the two countries by opening new horizons in common fields.

He conveyed the greetings and wishes of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the president of the Swiss Confideration for good health and happiness and to the Swiss people further progress and prosperity.

On his part, the Swiss president conveyed his greetings to His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince and his wishes for the State of Kuwait, government and people, for further development, growth, security and stability, Al-Sanad said.

He added that the Swiss president affirmed his country's readiness to provide all possible support for the development and strengthening of Kuwaiti-Swiss bilateral relations in various fields.
