KUWAIT: President of Kuwait Association of Surgeons Dr Salman Al-Sabah receives the equipment from Taiwan Commercial Representative in Kuwait Hua-Wei Mou.

KUWAIT: Taipei Commercial Representative Office in Kuwait teams up with Kuwait Association of Surgeons to contribute 10,000 N95 masks, 800 protective gowns, and 200 protection suits for the healthcare professionals in Kuwait. A total of 37 boxes of epidemic prevention supplies airlifted from Taiwan have arrived in Kuwait on June 15, which will be in aid of frontline medical workers to fight COVID-19.

President of Kuwait Association of Surgeons Dr Salman Al-Sabah expressed sincere appreciation to Taiwan’s government for its generous contribution of the equipment in need. He expressed to Taiwan Commercial Representative in Kuwait Hua-Wei Mou that the association will cooperate with Jaber Ahmad Al-Sabah Hospital to distribute prevention supplies to the medical doctors and nurses who are taking care of the COVID-19 patients tirelessly.

Only a week ago, Taiwan donated 50,000 surgical masks to UN-HABITAT GCC, which is based in Kuwait. These high-quality masks are expected to be used by Kuwaiti medical workers and volunteers.

Representative Hua-Wei Mou said that this teamwork between his office and the Kuwaiti counterparts symbolizes international collective efforts in diminishing the pandemic, adding that he is looking forward to seeing more cooperation between the two countries in the dimensions of public health and medical training.
