KUWAIT: The 2019-2020 boxing season will be launched on Saturday with the first juniors (under 16 & 17) championship with the participation of 12 clubs, as the championship will conclude on Tuesday at Jahra Club.
There will be 12 championships during the current season distributed over four various age groups 3 for beginners, 3 for cubs, 3 for juniors, 2 for men and a refresher championship for all.


Secretary General of Kuwait Boxing Federation Salem Al-Azmi said all is ready for a successful season, as he thanked the clubs for their cooperation and positive participation in the federation's events.


He wished all to be successful in achieving the goals, and welcomed all suggestions and views for the general interest of Kuwait's boxing.
Al-Azmi lauded the cooperation of the Olympic Committee headed by Chairman of the Board Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad and Secretary General Hussein Al-Musallam. He also thanked Director General of Public Authority for Sports Dr Humoud Fulaiteh and his deputy Dr Saqer Al-Mulla.


He said we appreciate the interest of sports leadership and its keenness to support federations through removing obstacles.
