LONDON: Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United Kingdom Khaled Al-Duwaisan has affirmed that the deep-rooted Kuwaiti-British relations are strategic and exceptional. The two countries' officials are keen on boosting the bilateral ties at diverse levels and hold regular coordination for serving interests of the two friendly nations, said Duwaisan in a statement to the press after he was honored at the Caledonian Club in his capacity as the number-one diplomat in the nation.

Duwaisan affirmed that the Kuwaiti-British Guidance Committee, established in 2012, holds a meeting every six months, rotatingly in Kuwait or London, for coordination on issues of joint concern. The Caledonian Club is an association founded in London in 1981. In the beginning, the club comprised eminent Scottish personalities and later the membership included prominent figures linked to Scotland. - KUNA
