Kuwait cabinet OKs draft decree for parliament vote due on June 6

Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Wednesday approved a draft decree calling for National Assembly (parliament) elections to take place on Tuesday (June 6, 2023), and sent it to His Highness the Crown Prince.

The decision was made during an extraordinary cabinet meeting held at Bayan Palace.

The cabinet also decided to suspend work at all ministries and state bodies on the voting day.
