GENEVA: Director General of Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Ahmad Al-Mousa on Friday emphasized support for Palestinian workers in the face of obstacles placed by the Zionist occupation forces in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem. This came during a session on ‘Palestine Day’ organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) as part of the international labor conference from May 30 until June 11, in the presence of Director General of ILO Guy Ryder and Palestinian Labor Minister Nasri Abu Jaish.

Speaking to KUNA in a statement after the session, Al-Mousa said Kuwait’s backing to the brotherly Palestinian people comes out of the country’s political and popular leadership’s firm stances towards Palestinians. He stressed that “a fair and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause can only be achieved by abiding by the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy and the references settled by the international community, topped with establishing an independent and sovereign state of Palestine based on the borders of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The session highlighted the Zionist violations, and their economic and social impacts on Palestinian people, as well as the establishment of the international fund to back Palestinian workers, he pointed out. The session also hailed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ honoring of Ryder recognition of his support to Palestinian workers during his tenure, Al-Mousa said. - KUNA
