KUWAIT: Kuwait's Al-Najat Charity Society announced Monday that it provided 2,666 water wells costing $5 million in 15 poor countries during 2022. In a statement to KUNA, Deputy Chairman of Al-Najat Board of Directors Rashid Al-Hamad said that the charity seeks to eliminate the scarcity of fresh water in poor countries by providing water wells, with an estimated number of beneficiaries that exceeds more than 664,000 people.

He stressed the society's keenness to provide the basic needs of poor countries, indicating that with the help of good people, Al-Najat was able to combat forms of poverty and apply the principle of social solidarity. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the achievement of the association's endeavors, be it for individuals or official authorities in the country. - KUNA
