KUWAIT: Kuwait Club Basketball team will meet Dijla University (Iraq) to decide the fourth and final side of the semifinals of the 34th Arab Basketball clubs championship being hosted by Kuwait. Kazma, meanwhile, will play Al-Ittihad Alexandria (Egypt) in round 8. The winner of Jahra and Bashaer (Oman) will play the winner of Al-Ahli (Egypt) and Al-Ahli Aleppo (Syria) while the winner of Al-Ahli Benghazi (Libya) and Al-Riyadhi (Lebanon) will meet the winner of Beirut (Lebanon) and Al-Sadd (Qatar).

Round 16 competitions began on Monday. Kuwait defeated Mina (Yemen) 104-55 in a one sided match. Kuwait coach opted to rest his players in preparation for their match with Dijla University on Wednesday. Kazma beat Widad Bufarik (Algeria) 90-74 and Al-Ittihad Alexandria (Egypt) defeated Al-Gharrafa (Qatar) 109-70. Dijla University's coach Hareth Mubasher said the match with Al-Ahli (Bahrain) was difficult, adding that there is a very difficult match ahead against Kuwait.
