KUWAIT: Kuwait's Foreign Ministry on Thursday expressed its strong condemnation of the shooting that targeted the Saudi embassy in the Dutch city of The Hague. In a press statement, the ministry stressed that the "sinful and cowardly attack" is a violation of all international norms and laws. It pointed to Kuwait's support and solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to maintain its security and the safety of its citizens.

Oil price down
KUWAIT: Kuwait's crude oil price went down by 80 cents to $42.73 per barrel Friday as oppose to $43.53 pb the day before, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said yesterday. Across the global markets, the price of Brent crude decreased 75 cents to $42.78 per barrel as with the West Texas Intermediate also down by 99 cents to close at $40.13 pb.

Helpers stuck abroad
KUWAIT: The general secretariat of the council of ministers has asked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to come up with a plan for a potential return of domestic helpers stuck abroad, Al-Qabas reported quoting sources. A decision on that regard still requires the health ministry's approval, however.

Midterms postponed?
KUWAIT: Kuwait's education ministry is considering shifting the public high school midterms to be taken with the finals in June 2021, after the health ministry refused a request to allow in-class exams, Al-Qabas reported, quoting sources.
