KUWAIT: The Kuwait Economic Society (KES) opened its new headquarters in Bneid Al-Gar near those of other NGOs on Monday. Chairman of the society Faisal Al-Midlej welcomed the guests and said that since KES was established in 1970, many respected and important people have been members of the board of directors. "These people worked hard during the past 48 years to make the society successful and achieve its goals. We are thankful for their efforts, which made it easy for us to have this organization," he said.

"KES serves all categories in the community in general and those who are interested in economic affairs in particular, and today we are celebrating the launching of the new building of the society. I would like to thank all those who participated in building this new headquarters by sponsoring or donating construction material," added Midlej.

Kuwait Economic Society is an active and effective partner in economic development. "It supports the development policies of the government to improve the economic situation and support the transparency of the Kuwaiti economy. KES also raises cultural, economic and financial awareness among the community," he explained. The new building is an added value to the general development of the country. "It contains a theatre and numerous training halls or ballrooms that are completely equipped with modern technology. This makes us able to provide more training and education courses, so we can stay in contact with the community," concluded Midlej.
