Kuwait-Embassy-in-USKUWAIT: Kuwait’s Embassy to the United States in Washington DC has bought a palatial 20,000 square foot home in the tony Forest Hills area for $18 million (KD 5.5 million), reported local newspaper the Washingtonian.

Formerly owned by a supermarket mogul, the Neoclassical mansion has seven bedrooms and 14 bathrooms: Elevator, climate-controlled wine cellar with a tasting room, swimming pool, pool house, formal and cottage gardens, and a sports court. Built in 1994, the mansion sits on an acre of land on Fesseden Street in the Northwest sector of the capital about 1.4 miles distant from the Kuwait Embassy.
