KUWAIT: Kuwaiti officials have demonstrated their commitment to linking Egypt and Kuwait electronically to ease the importation of Egyptian labor to the Kuwaiti marketplace, said a visiting Egyptian minister yesterday. Jamal Suroor, Minister of Manpower in Egypt, said in a press statement after meeting with Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hend Al- Sabeeh, that he discussed with the Kuwaiti minister and other officials on labor affairs the status of the Egyptian workforce in Kuwait.
He commended Kuwait’s efforts at hosting Egyptian workers and at improving working conditions for them, including easing the process of acquiring permits to leave the country from their Kuwaiti employers.
