Kuwait fast-tracks med students' finals

KUWAIT: Kuwait's Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Saud Al-Harbi approved a proposal to allow fast-tracking of exams of final-year medical students, enabling them to register as doctors to join medical staff fighting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The proposal, tabled by Kuwait University's vice-president for Medical Sciences Dr Adel Al-Hunayyan, enables the final-year medical students do their final exams, KU said in a statement Monday. Approving the proposal, it added, will enable the students immediately join the workforce. - KUNA
