Kuwait figure skaters grab 17 medals in int'l tourney

KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti figure skating girls team grabbed up to 17 medals in the online open international tournament that concluded in the Romanian capital Bucharest recently. The national champions won nine gold medals, six silver medals and a bronze one in the three-day competition, head of Kuwait Winter Games Club Fehaid Al-Ajmi said on Monday.

Ajmi praised the Kuwaiti female players for their outstanding performance vis a vis top-notch competitors from various countries. Hussa Al-Saraawi won two gold medals, Khairiyah Al-Kanderi grabbed two gold ones, Lulwa Al-Darman and Lara Al-Barrak each snatched one gold and one silver medal, while Sara Al-Laho grabbed two silver medals. - KUNA
