KUWAIT: Treasurer of Kuwait Table Tennis Association (KTTA) Anwar Al-Kandary said the start of the first Table Tennis for ladies will be during the second half of February. It will be in two parts for players born in 2003 and before - with the participation of four teams: Arabi, Fatat, Salwa Al-Sabah and Fatayat Al-Oyoun. Each club can participate with two teams. Al-Kandary spoke during a meeting that was also attended by technical director Sabri Jamaan, administrative director Ahmad Al-Qallaf and clubs' representatives.

Al-Kandary said the board of directors is keen on promoting table tennis among women clubs in order to broaden the base of female players - adding the "the launch of the first women's league will be an important step forward". He added that the program was organized in coordination with clubs for field visits by the ladies national team coach Belarusian M Anderea to help train the ladies and develop their skills.
