Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah meets Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum.

NIAMEY: Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah held talks on Friday with President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou, focusing on bilateral relations in addition to current happenings around the world. The meeting, held on the sidelines of pan-Organization of Islamic Cooperation talks in the Nigerien capital Niamey, brought together a bevy of Kuwaiti foreign ministry officials and diplomats.

Kuwait’s Foreign Minister also discusses various issues with foreign counterparts in separate meetings held on the summit’s sidelines. Sheikh Dr Ahmad met yesterday with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum, and they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed the latest regional and international developments. Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Foreign Minister’s Office Counselor Ahmed Al-Shuraim attended the meeting.

During a meeting with his Ivory Coast counterpart Ally Coulibaly yesterday, the two sides examined bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, latest developments on the regional and international arenas. Separately, Sheikh Dr Ahmad met his Senegalese counterpart Aissata Tall Sall, discussing bilateral relations, regional and international issues. Later, he met Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, examining identical matters.

Sheikh Dr Ahmad met on Friday with his counterpart of Chad Amine Abba Siddick. The two ministers reviewed the relations between the two sisterly countries, and the latest developments on the regional and international arenas. Kuwait’s foreign minister held similar meetings on Friday with foreign ministers of Tunisia Othman Jerandi, Afghanistan Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Mauritania Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Libya Mohammad Siala, and Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu. —KUNA
