AMMAN: Kuwait was chosen as the “Guest of Honor” at this year’s edition of the Amman International Book Fair, starting from September 1 for a period of 10 days, it was announced Sunday. In a statement to KUNA, President of the Jordanian Publishers Association and Exhibition Director Jber Abu Fares said the decision came to enhance the brotherly relationships between the two countries, mainly in the cultural field.
It will give the book fair audience “the opportunity to learn about the cultural and heritage efforts and the most prominent and distinguished cultural pioneering projects that Kuwait is working on,” he noted. As for Kuwaiti activities at the exhibition, they will include a local cultural program and a symposium titled ‘Jerusalem in the eyes of Kuwait’, besides a photo exhibition dedicated to the continuous support provided by Kuwait to the Palestinian people since the start of their war, Abu Fares added.
