KUWAIT: The Embassy of Italy in Kuwait is glad to announce that the first 'Italian Week' in Kuwait will take place from November 27th until December 4th.

It is with great satisfaction that we launch this initiative this year when Kuwait is the capital of the Islamic culture and, thanks to the vision of His Highness the Amir, great importance is being given to the development of cultural relations.

The 'Italian Week' is a multi-faceted event that aims to bring 'more Italy in Kuwait', concentrating in the space of a week an articulated range of art exhibitions, concerts, lectures, a photo contest, a soccer tournament and various promotional activities of the 'made in Italy' designed to further increase the excellent relations between Italy and Kuwait and to broaden the knowledge of areas of excellence, as well as of less known facts about our 'Bel Paese' (Beautiful Country). Italy is the third largest eurozone economy and the eighth in the world, a domestic market of 60 million people, a gateway to 500 million consumers from EU and 270 million from North Africa and the Middle East. It is also the second manufacturing country in Europe, with a unique know-how in strategic industries, from machineries to automation, from aerospace industry to shipbuilding, from health to bio-medicine, in addition to the sectors for which Italy is famous in the world, like fashion, design, cars, cuisine, agricultural and food industry.

In Italy, there are research and development centers of excellence and more than 20 Italian universities that are ranked among the best 500 in the world. The quality of life that Italy can offer, with its landscapes, arts, history, culture and cuisine is unique and unrivaled. Therefore, we wish that this initiative will attract the enthusiastic participation of our Kuwaiti friends, and in particular of young people.
