KUWAIT: The acting secretary general of the Kuwaiti National Committee for Education, Science and Culture, which is part of the UNESCO program, affirmed Kuwait's keenness on acquiring latest technological and industrials innovations and employing them in diverse local sectors. Nadia Al-Wazzan, who was addressing 'the regional forum on solidarity among academic quarters and partners of converging technology' yesterday, said this approach has tangibly taken shape in establishing apparatuses and foundations that apply technologies and offer financial support for scientific and industrial enterprises. Industrial technology features high in the New Kuwait Vision 2035, Wazzan added during the seminar, held at the National Library of Kuwait, with participation of experts from ISESCO. Meanwhile, Ali Rahal, ISECO's representative and its expert in Sharjah, the UAE, said the forum aimed at examining mechanisms and methods of coping with diverse challenges facing academic and industrial quarters, noting necessity of narrowing the gap between the two sectors. - KUNA
