KUWAIT: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received yesterday at Bayan Palace the Kuwaiti athletes participated in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

The athletes were accompanied by Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Director General of the Public Authority for Sport (PAS) Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Deputy Director General of Sports Affairs at PAS Dr Humoud Flaiteh.

Moreover, His Highness the Prime Minister congratulated shooter Fehaid Al-Deehani on his gold medal in the men’s double trap competition and his compatriot Abdullah Al-Rashidi on his bronze in the men’s skeet contest.

Though diminutive in size, Kuwait is loaded with talented and qualified individuals, His Highness the Prime Minister said. The two Olympians had met earlier yesterday with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as well. — KUNA
