Kuwait: The National Guards second in command on Monday underscored necessity to maintain good equipment of the squad and keep the personnel abreast of latest innovations that serve their missions.

It is rather imperative that the National Guards get the needed equipment and remain abreast of the latest created devises so they may be able to continue fulfil their vital duties, said Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the guards' deputy chief, according to a statement released by the force.

The guards must remain well equipped and the personnel enlightened for effective support for the state, Sheikh Faisal stressed after inspecting Al-Tahrir Camp where he examined newly received vehicles.

The guards command is seeking to supply the units with state-of-art equipment to facilitate their missions, he said, noting the need for the squad backing in various key sectors, particularly during emergencies and crises.

The command is seeking to render the force the number one-back up apparatus for the state divisions.

Sheikh Faisal, during the visit, examined rescue boats, diverse equipment including those used in rescue operations in dire conditions such as heavy rains that cause harmful flash floods.

He also visited the National Guards Field Hospital that had been prepared for any emergency and backing the Ministry of Health if the need arises.
