KUWAIT: The parliamentary committee charged with special needs' affairs discussed during a meeting with Minister of Social Affairs Dr Hind Al-Sebeeh yesterday prospects of establishing branches for the Public Authority for Disabled in the governorates of Al-Ahmadi and Al-Jahraa.

The commission rapporteur, Hamdan Al-Azmi, said in a statement post the meeting that the request was intended to shorten transactions' time for this segment of the Kuwaiti society.

Al-Azmi added that Minister Al-Sebeeh, also the Minister of State for Economic Affairs, expressed readiness to cooperate and establish new facilities for the citizens of special challenges to relieve them of long-time waiting to accomplish transactions.

The committee, formed in the parliament's past session, includes MP Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Khalil Al-Saleh, Safaa Al-Hashem, Usama Al-Shahin, Dr Oda Al-Rwaiee, Hamdan Al-Azmi and Marzouq Al-Khlaifa. - KUNA
