ShareKUWAIT: Under the sponsorship of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the conclusion ceremony of Kuwait's Quran Memorization and Tajweed Grand Award was held on Wednesday.
Head of the Crown Prince Diwan, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, honors one of the judges.His Highness the Amir deputized Head of the Crown Prince Diwan, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to attend the ceremony. The latter was welcomed by Minister of Justice, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Boosting Nazaha Affairs Abdulaziz Majed Al-Majed, the Undersecretary of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Chairperson of the Award Higher Committee Farid Amadi and members of the commission.
The minister of justice addressed the ceremony, highlighting the unique spiritual benefits of memorizing and reciting the Quran and congratulated the winners, urging them to be examples to be followed in their communities. Dr. Salmen Al-Zahrani, chairperson of the jurists, also addressed the ceremony noting the nation was blessed with Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the Quran that was revealed to the messenger.
He also expressed deep gratitude to His Highness the Amir, the Government and people of Kuwait for the efforts of holding the event. The Representative of His Highness the Amir handed over the awards to the winners. A memorial gift was presented for His Highness the Amir. - KUNA
