Kuwait registers 18 COVID deaths in two days

KUWAIT: Kuwait's Ministry of Health on Friday reported seven new COVID-19 deaths, and 1,209 infections in the previous 24 hours, while it reported 11 deaths and 1,236 infections the previous day. The new figures took total fatalities up to 1,628, and total cases to 282,981 since the beginning of the pandemic, the Ministry's spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad said.

He added that total recoveries have reached 266,917 after 1,387 patients recovered from coronavirus Friday making the recovery rate 94.3 percent out of the conducted tests. A total of 1,436 recoveries were announced the previous day. Moreover, 14,436 patients in total were receiving health care as of Friday, down from 14,621 the previous day, while patients in intensive care units went up from 199 on Thursday to 206 on Friday. - KUNA
