NEW YORK: The State of Kuwait has re-affirmed its support for the just Palestinian cause and regional peace as a strategic option. Counselor Faisal Ghazi Al-Enezi, the deputy representative of the State of Kuwait at the United Nations, noted anew Kuwait's support for the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people for attaining their rights, reiterated its adherence to the Arab-Islamic stance that backs peace as a strategic option and a just peace based on establishing the two states.

Enezi, during a debate on the Middle East held at the UN Security Council, noted that the unwavering Kuwaiti stand is based on agreed-upon references, namely the relevant UNSC resolutions and the Arab peace initiative. Kuwait has followed up with concern on the dangerous escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, namely the systematic crimes and offensives carried out by the Zionist entity, the occupation-based authority, against the brotherly Palestinian people.

Al-Aqsa Mosque continues to be targeted with recurring acts of desecration either by the occupation forces or the settlers. The State of Kuwait renews its robust condemnation of such hostile practices that provoke all Muslims and threaten worshipping at the mosque. These practices are the latest of a chain of flagrant breaches of international covenants and resolutions; they threaten to jeopardize bases of stability in the region, they foment hatred, extremism and violence. Enezi decried recurring raids and brutal attacks by the occupying Zionist entity forces on Palestinian towns, the latest of which happened in Nablus and Ramallah days ago.
