Kuwait reports one death, 300 new coronavirus cases

KUWAIT: The ministry of health confirmed Wednesday 300 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 3,740, while one death was reported, bringing the total to 24.

During a daily briefing, Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad said 66 patients are in intensive care, 28 of them in critical condition, while 2,327 patients are currently receiving treatment at hospitals.

The latest death was of a 57-year-old Filipino who was receiving treatment at the ICU for the last six days. Earlier, Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah announced the recovery of 213 patients, bringing the total to 1,389 recoveries. - KUNA
